Code of Conduct
Weโre in this TOGETHER! ๐
This community started organically as an extension of my 1:1 coaching relationships to support and connect with other Product folks. Iโm truly amazed at how naturally aligned folks have been on our values and expectations of each other. ๐ As our community grows, I want to be intentional and direct about what I expect from everyone here. With that in mind, I have created this Code of Conduct to encourage a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for participation.
These behaviors are expected and encouraged:
๐ Choose Kindness - be friendly, respectful, decent, and welcoming.
๐ฆ Be Yourself - authenticity and vulnerability strongly encouraged.
๐ค What Happens Here, Stays Here - we hold each others information in confidence.
๐ Take Ownership - itโs your learning journey, ask for what you need, and do the work.
๐ฑ Embrace a Growth Mindset - try things on, stay optimistic, learn from criticism.
๐ซ Be a Team Player - no egos, no competition, no judgment, no gatekeeping.
๐ Be Generous - with your time, your knowledge, and your connections.
These behaviors are unacceptable and not allowed:
โ Recording anyone in the group without the explicit permission of everyone involved.
โ Sharing any identifiable information (including but not limited to: name, title, company, email, phone number, salary, career information, etc) about other members of the community without explicit permission from that individual.
โ Self-promotion, selling, or spam including, but not limited to, messages with the intent to sell a product or service without explicit permission from Jess Sherlock.
โ Inappropriate comments or content that is rude, condescending, obscene, mean, hostile, hateful, discriminatory, sexual, NSFW, or contains demeaning or unkind language.
โ Trolling, harassing, insulting, name-calling, threatening, labeling, ridiculing, belittling, or attacking anyone else in the community.
โ Bullying or making community members feel intimidated in any way.
โ Discussion of irrelevant topics - we are here to discuss Product Management careers.
โ Violations of the law.
